Trotz der Bemühungen, die Bildschirme über das Betriebssystem oder die GPU-Treiber zu duplizieren, ohne den vollen Rechenaufwand eines unabhängigen Bildschirms zu haben, gilt immer noch die Faustregel: Wenn du zwei 144Hz-Monitore mit einer Auflösung von jeweils 2560 x 1440 hast, muss deine GPU in der Lage sein, eine tatsächliche Auflösung von 5120 x 2880 zu fahren. Wenn du zwei Grafikkarten in deinem PC haben kannst, dann ist dein Leistungsproblem im Wesentlichen gelöst. QHD bei 144Hz ist selbst für Mittelklasse-Gaming-GPUs machbar, zwei 2070er sind also genau richtig. Klar, du musst mit zusätzlichen Kosten rechnen, aber das ist es, was nötig ist, um zwei Bildschirme bei solch hohen Frameraten ohne Kompromisse zu betreiben.

Welche Kabel soll ich verwenden?


Die beste Option ist DisplayPort. Deine Grafikkarte hat wahrscheinlich zwei DisplayPort-Ausgänge, also verlege einfach ein Kabel von den Anschlüssen an deiner Grafikkarte zu den Anschlüssen an deinen Monitoren. DisplayPort ist in der Regel besser für die PC-Nutzung optimiert als HDMI. Wie richte ich die Monitore ein?


Für die Verwendung auf dem Desktop gehst du einfach auf Start, Einstellungen und Anzeige. Sieh dir den Abschnitt Mehrere Bildschirme an. Beide Monitore sollten dort sein, wenn nicht, dann klicke auf Erkennen, um sie manuell zu finden. Aber das ist für den normalen, nicht Gaming, nicht 3D-Gebrauch. Wenn du die beiden Bildschirme einfach in Windows einrichtest, können sie für Spiele funktionieren, da viele moderne Titel eine solche Einstellung erkennen und in den Vollbildmodus wechseln. Dies schont deine GPU, da es nicht als zwei verschiedene Displays gezählt wird. Allerdings wirst du mit ziemlicher Sicherheit nicht 144Hz, sondern höchstens 60Hz bekommen.


Um echtes Fullscreen-Gaming zu gewährleisten, erfolgt der wichtigste Teil der Einrichtung über das Kontrollzentrum deiner Grafikkarte. Bei NVIDIA klickst du mit der rechten Maustaste irgendwo auf deinen Windows-Desktop, gehst auf NVIDIA Systemsteuerung, dann auf Anzeige und dann auf Mehrere Anzeigen einrichten. Du kannst einen primären Bildschirm zuweisen und Bildschirme erkennen, um sicherzustellen, dass die richtigen aufgelistet sind.
